Who We Are
Mobilization for Justice, Inc. provides free legal assistance, from advice to full representation, on many civil legal issues. The Consumer Rights Project provides advice, counsel and legal representation to low-income New Yorkers who are the victims of an improper judgment, financial scam, credit or identity theft, or other form of financial exploitation. Mobilization for Justice helps New Yorkers alleviate crushing debt so they can avoid homelessness and financial ruin by providing assistance with bankruptcy. MFJ also provides assistance to New Yorkers facing foreclosure because of a sub-prime mortgage. Mobilization for Justice serves low-income people from all five boroughs of New York City. The Consumer Rights Project also provides community-based legal education to neighborhood-based groups, social service organizations, and senior centers.
