The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is a work permit and protection from deportation. It is for some people who came to the U.S. by June 15, 2012, when they were younger than 16. A court case stopped DACA, and now no one can make a new application. People who already had DACA can renew.

New laws or another court decision could change DACA. Check for updates with the American Civil Liberties Union
